Muzaffer is in charge of all East Asia operations, survey planning and management. He is also the first point of contact for our clients in China and East Asia Region.

Muzaffer has expertise on all kinds of damage surveys, involved in numerous casualty investigations, such as engine failures, tailshaft/stern tube damages, collision, grounding and fire cases.

With his background as New Building Supervisor as well as Oceangoing Chief Engineer on board bulk carriers and tankers, he has attained deep technical knowledge on both design and operational aspects of propulsion engines and auxiliary machinery, hull design and coatings aspects, as well as on board overhauling and maintenance and PMS systems.

His expertise lies with machinery failure and root cause investigation on all kinds of damages on diesel engines and propulsion systems. In addition, he has successfully participated in total loss investigations and crew interviewing on major collisions, being multilingual in Turkish, English, Chinese and Russian.

Muzaffer is also carrying out all kinds of warranty surveys and loss prevention surveys for H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs (both IG and Fixed Premium) to include JH143 Shipyard Risk Assessment and Towage Approval Surveys.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Marine Engineer (1^st Engineer) – Sea-going service on board bulk carriers and chemical/oil tankers (5 years)
• New Building Supervisor at Shipyards in China (2 years)
• Certified Operator for Ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing with Class Type Approved Sherlog TA.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Postgraduate Diploma in International Maritime Law, World Maritime University
• BSc in Marine Engineering, Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty

Haifeng is in charge of Shanghai operations together with Muzaffer Sarikaya. He has undertaken various type of casualty surveys on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs, involved in major casualties such as collision, grounding, fire, explosion, machinery damages, salvage and wreck removal operations.

With the advantage of his previous career as an NB Hull Supervisor in yards in China, Haifeng is the surveyor responsible for all hull casualty repairs, having attained expertise and deep technical knowledge on all kinds of structural design, repairs and coating application works.

Haifeng also possesses vast knowledge on local shipyards services and facilities as well as local prevailing tariffs for all types of structural repairs.

Since joining our Shanghai office, Haifeng having has completed over a total of a hundred JH H&M Condition Surveys and P&I Loss Prevention Surveys (IG and Fixed Premium Clubs). He also completed various Shipyard Risk Assessment (JH143) Surveys.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Quality Control Engineer in CSSC shipyard, involved in newbuilding project for bulk carrier, tankers and FPSO conversions (3 years)
• Hull Supervisor in Guangdong COSCO shipyard, engaged in hull & coatings works (2 years)
• Certified Welding Inspector approved by American Welding Society
• Certified Operator for Ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing with Class Type Approved Sherlog TA.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA in Naval Architecture from Wuhan University of Technology, Hubei Province, China Marine Insurance Master Class Course, BIMCO

Xiangjin has carried out various Warranty Surveys of all kinds and completed numerous H&M Condition/Risk Assessment Surveys and P&I Loss Prevention Surveys (IG and Fixed Premium Clubs).

With his background as new building supervisor for almost 10 years, he attained deep technical knowledge and acquired expertise on hull construction, outfitting, coating application and machinery installation works.

Moreover, he has attended various types of casualty surveys. The most demanding task he accomplished successfully was a major antipollution and Wreck Removal operation, on which he remained in continuous attendance for about 15 months.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree of Naval Architecture in Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding technology, Hubei, China

Xuhui has been involved in all types of casualty and marine warranty / condition and Loss Prevention surveys on all types of vessels, acting on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs.

Having completed a 7-year term as oceangoing engineer on board various types of vessels up reaching the 3rd Engineer rank, he was subsequently employed ashore as a shipyard site manager (2 years) in China, before joining our Shanghai surveyors’ team. As such, he possesses vast knowledge on main and auxiliary machinery operation, maintenance and repairs, as well as knowledge of local shipyards practices and tariffs for all kinds of repairs.

He is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English language.

• Site Manager, Runtong Marine – China (2 years)
• Oceangoing Engineer (Swire Shipping of Singapore) – 3^rd Engineer (7 years)

• Associate’s Degree in Marine Engineering from Tianjin Maritime College, China

Sherry graduated from University of Leeds with a MA in Accounting and Finance. Before joining our team, Sherry worked as a General Ledger Accountant of a financial consultancy firm for 2 years, and then as a Finance Specialist for 1 year. She has a certificate of accounting professional and intermediate accountant qualification certificate. She is responsible for all accounting aspects of our Shanghai office.

Vicky has graduated from Liaodong University, Faculty of English Education Department and subsequently Shanghai Shifan University, Human Resource Management. Before joining our team, Vicky worked as a Principal at Training Center in Shanghai and Human Resources Managers.
