He has a vital role in our Istanbul Office, by directly and closely liaising with key executives of the local marine insurance market and shipping community.

Giray has expertise on all kinds of casualty surveys and investigations for both H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs and has supervised -from A to Z- several multi-million repair projects in Tuzla and Yalova shipyards, including a major explosion damage repair project, acting the overall Project Manager for 12 months.

With his background as a Master Mariner he specializes in investigation of collision and grounding accidents, possessing hands-on experience in navigating the Bosporus and Dardanelles Straits.

In addition, Giray having carried out vast numbers of P&I Loss Prevention Surveys himself for both IG and Fixed Premium Clubs, is responsible for the quality control of such surveys undertaken by our global office network.

Giray has also completed numerous Warranty Surveys of all kinds, specializing in Towage Approval, Office Management Assessment (JH 2013/007C), and Shipyard Risk Assessment (JH143).

Giray, together with Tugrul Ak, are in charge of all West Asia and Europe daily operations and surveyors’ management.

Tugrul has expertise on all kinds of casualty surveys, such as machinery damages, fire, explosion and grounding and collision investigations for both H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs. Also he has supervised various high-profile repair projects in Tuzla and Yalova Shipyards.

With his background as a Shipyard Repair Manager, he possesses deep knowledge of local shipyards practices and tariffs for all kinds of repairs.

Having been involved in numerous main and auxiliary engines crankshaft damages, he may be considered an expert in in-depth root cause analysis of all kinds of engine failures. Also he has attained expertise on scope and machinery repairs practices and methods.

Tugrul intervenes on technical and handling issues of all casualty cases and provides guidance to surveyors. He builds trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and acts as a point of contact for important clients.

Tugrul, together with Giray Kincal, are in charge of all West Asia and Europe offices daily operations and surveyors’ management.

Ece is a graduate of the Middle East Technical University as Food Engineer (METU – FDE) and of the Ankara University specializing in “Finance and Business Especially for Engineers” (BSS).

Upon completion of her studies, she worked in Koc Holdings’s group of companies for 8 years, in different departments such as Budget, Retail Sales Management and Sales for Major Customers Departments as Manager.   

As Financial Director of our Istanbul office she oversees all financial activities, compiles and implements budgets and applies cost-effective and efficient solutions. Ece has painted all the art work in our office and never stops smiling.

Orcun has attended an array of damage surveys (grounding, collision, fire, explosion, machinery and cargo damages).

He has carried out root cause investigation and analysis on a variety of machinery failures, particularly as a result of inferior bunker specifications/catfines.

With his background as a 1^st Engineer in bulk carriers and container vessels, he possesses deep technical knowledge on maintenance, overhauling and operation of marine propulsion engines.

In addition, Orcun has also carried out numerous P&I Loss Prevention Surveys and H&M JH Risk Assessment and Warranty Surveys to include Port Risk Assessment, Yard’s Risk Assessment and Towage Approval Surveys.

Tolga has undertaken various type of casualty surveys on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs, involved in major casualties such as collision, grounding, fire, explosion, salvage operations and cargo damages.

With his background as a Chief Officer on board cape-size bulk carriers and multi-purpose general cargo vessels, he has attained deep knowledge on cargo handling on both bulk and project cargoes with lashing arrangements. He has also been involved in project cargo damages and collision investigations.

In addition, Tolga has carried out numerous P&I Loss Prevention Surveys and H&M JH Condition Surveys (JH 2013/007 A&B), specializing in Towage Approval and Voyage Approval Surveys, Port Risk Assessment, Office Management Assessment (JH 2013/007C), and Shipyard Risk Assessment (JH143).

Ali has been involved in casualty and marine warranty surveys of varying types acting for H&M Underwriters, as well as Loss Prevention surveys for P&I Clubs.

Having completed a 5-year term as oceangoing engineer on board General Cargo vessels & Bulk Carriers as 2^nd Engineer, he was subsequently employed ashore as Superintendent Engineer (2 years) in a reputable Turkish shipping firm operating 12 general cargo vessels, before joining our surveyors’ team. As such, he possesses vast knowledge on main and auxiliary machinery operation, maintenance and repairs, as well as knowledge of local shipyards practices and tariffs for all kinds of repairs.

He is fluent in English.

She has graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Business Administration, Sales Management division. Prior joining our firm, Muge has worked in a telecommunication company for 10 years and in pharmaceutical company for 5 years, as an Administration Assistant.

Tutku studied Modern Greek Language and Culture at Ankara University.  Prior joining our firm, was an English teacher for 5 years and then worked as DPA assistant in a marine company for 3 years.
